In the summer of 2015 we visited Charlevoix for the purpose of finding a week long rental house for the following June.  Lynda’s youngest daughter would be tying the knot at Castle Farms and we planned to arrive early and make a week of it.  It was on this first trip that we realized that Charlevoix is a very special place for us.  By the end of the wedding week the next summer we had decided that somehow, summers in Charlevoix would be in our future.

At first the idea of a Bed & Breakfast seemed daunting and out of reach but over the next 3 years of watching for properties, considering the details and possibilities the Sunflower Inn has blossomed into reality.

John was born and raised in east central Indiana and retired in 2020 after 40+ years of employment in the glass container industry.  Lynda is a native Michigander and has worked for 25 years in the world of medical transcription.  We have traveled extensively and enjoy staying in B&B’s when possible.  From those stays we’ve gleaned the things that we think work and have incorporated them into the Sunflower Inn Bed & Breakfast – Lodging in Charlevoix Michigan.  Above all we wish to provide gracious hospitality, a comfortable room and a delicious breakfast to start your wonderful day in Charlevoix MI.
